Occupational Therapy
Our Occupational Therapy team at Rehab Buddy CDC is dedicated to helping children build independence, improve daily functioning, and thrive in their environments. We focus on developing fine and gross motor skills, enhancing sensory processing, and promoting self-care abilities such as dressing, feeding, and grooming. Using evidence-based approaches tailored to each child’s unique needs, our therapists combine structured techniques with play-based interventions to make learning both effective and enjoyable. Whether addressing challenges in attention, coordination, or daily living tasks, our goal is to empower every child to participate confidently in everyday life. We use evidence-based approaches such as:
1
Sensory Integration Therapy
Utilizing Ayres Sensory Integration principles, our therapists help children process sensory information more effectively, reducing anxiety, improving attention, and enhancing motor skills.
2
Primitive Reflex Integration
We address retained primitive reflexes that can impact motor development, coordination, and learning readiness through specific neurodevelopmental techniques.
3
Functional Therapy
Customized activities focus on fine and gross motor skills, coordination, and muscle strength to improve self-care and play.
4
Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Training
Practical training in essential skills such as dressing, feeding, toileting, and grooming to boost autonomy.
5
Cognitive Development
Using strategies backed by neuroplasticity research, we work on attention, working memory, problem-solving, and executive function skills critical for academic and social success.
